Our School

Round Oak School is set in a pleasant purpose built building just off Myton Road between Warwick and Leamington Spa. The school caters for 145 students although we currently have 140  on role. Students are aged between 11 and 19 years all of whom have a statement of special educational needs. Difficulties range from moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism, profound and multiple difficulties and associated complex needs. Our aim is to cater for individual needs within our school community and to provide a quality learning environment.

We offer all range of National Curriculum subjects in addition to high quality PE and Sport. During lunch time we run a range of clubs from ‘Quiet Club’ to ‘Cheer Leading Club’, ‘IT club to Cup Stacking Club all of which are well attended.

We are a LEAD school for Health and Well being.

Our school has a fully functional School Council with students making up the bulk of its membership. The council deals with issues of interest to students and staff.

We currently have two off-site facilities providing enhancement of our 6th form curriculum.  "Employability lets work together" based at National Grid Warwick and "Employability  Holloway" our agri-venture based at Wasperton.  Our newest venture "Employability for all" comes on stream from the 1st of November 2015.

Round Oak Support Service provides quality support to pupils in mainstream schools. It is a ‘bought in’ service that does not receive local authority funding so generates it own income from offering service level agreements to schools

Occasionally we are able to offer dual placements with our mainstream counterparts. These are organized on an individual basis in full consultation with all partners.

We are always delighted to receive enquiries and welcome visitors to school. Prospective parents, professionals and other interested individuals should telephone the school office in the first instance.

We are proud of our partnerships with agencies, other schools and friends of the school. Social opportunities and activities are often organized for all to participate in. Our weekly school newsletter has details of these.
