What is Pupil Premium?

Pupil premium is money that the government gives to every school.  This money is to be spent directly or indirectly on those pupils who need it. The money is spent on children entitled to free school meals and those children that are looked after.

 

How is pupil premium money spent at Round Oak School?

  • Additional support for a pupil eg. TA assigned to one pupil

  • Therapies eg. music therapy, counselling

  • Careers advice

  • Literacy interventions

  • Autism specialist advisor

  • Specialist equipment to meet individual needs and support learning

  • Residential trips

  • Taxi’s eg. Students staying on for after school clubs requiring a taxi home
