After School Clubs
There are a variety of After School Clubs available to our students. Information regarding these clubs is displayed in school on a large board in the dinner hall. Should students wish to join a club, letters for these clubs are available from the Sports Hub.
Wheelchair Sports Club
This Club is run at Myton School but is available to all students from Round Oak. Although it provides Wheelchair Sports, it is open to all not exclusively wheelchair users. It runs on a Monday after school between 3.30pm and 5.30pm. The coaches are Mark Simmons and Paul Somers. Please see the poster for details.
This club is run by two coaches from Sky Blues in the Community. They provide a variety of fully inclusive sports activities. The club runs in the school hall on Tuesdays between 3.15pm and 4.30pm.
This club is coordinated by Phil Sower and delivered by Angling Instructors from the Angling Development Board. The activity takes place at Kingfisher Pools in St Nicholas Park and students are transported to and from the Park in the School Minibus. The club runs in the Summer Term on Tuesdays between 3.15pm to 5pm.
This club is run by two Football coaches from Sky Blues in the Community. Depending on the weather the training may take place either in the hall, on the court or on the school field. The club runs on Wednesdays between 3.15pm and 4.30pm.
This club, which runs on Thursday afternoons, provides a number of different activities including football, basketball, batting and fielding, table top games, trampolining, racket games and fitness. During the summer term we take a group to Leamington Tennis Club for lessons with the Club Tennis Coach. Onsite activities run from 3.15pm – 4.30pm and off site tennis runs from 3.15pm with a pick up at the club at 4.25pm or at school at 4.40pm.
Horse Riding Club
This after school Horse Riding Club has been set up as a pathway for those who experienced horse riding lessons through the school Sportivate project. Lessons take place offsite every Thursday between 3pm and 5pm at Radway Riding School.
Judo Club is run on Fridays after School by visiting coach, Dave Nicols. Dave has been delivering Judo for our students for over 10 years and any new members are very welcome. Previous experience is not necessary. Timings are 3.15pm – 4.30pm.
Film club meets once a week after school and twice during lunchtimes, all round year round.
During after school club we watch a wide variety of films based and discuss our favourite movies and plots. The club runs on Tuesdays from 3.15 to 4.15. We do have a waiting list, please let Maxine know if you are interested in coming along.
Health and Wellbeing Club
Health and Wellbeing Club is a 20 week course of sessions run by Nisar Chaudhry on Tuesday between 3.15pm and 4.15pm . There is no charge for this club as it is funded by Sport England. Students learn about healthy active lifestyles through discussion and a range of fun activities.
